This abstract expressionist studio workshop provides the materials, space, and freedom for young artists to paint on a larger scale. Students are encouraged to use lots of paint as they explore personal ideas related to symbolism, intuition, gesture, and interpretation. Instruction helps students explore the process of mixing color, developing composition, and how to riff on their own spontaneous gestures.
