Drawing Exquisíte, inspired by the surrealist movement of the 1920’s, is an after-school art program designed for young artists. Students are encouraged to sketch, color, illustrate, doodle, and yes, scribble. Open throughout the year, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, students from ages 6 to 18 years old can sign up and explore a variety of materials, techniques and concepts associated with drawing as they develope a broader understanding of the creative process.

Afterschool drawing workshops include

  • Direct instructional lessons including principles such as shadow, and 3-Dimentinal space using various materials.  

  • Offer instructional support for student groups looking to collaborate on small specific drawing projects. 

  • Provide studio space and instructional guidance for those student artists who choose to work independently.  

  • Offer collaborative drawing mural projects that inspire imagination and guide students through the creative process.
